Symbol Technologies, Inc. (“Symbol”) and ScanSource, Inc. (“ScanSource”) are proud to announce a reseller sales incentive program for September 15, 2006 – September 30, 2006. This sales promotion rewards resellers for selling Symbol products.
Winners will be drawn at random. Entries into the drawing will be earned based on meeting the sales levels outlined later in this document. Resellers must register at www.scansource.com/symbol by September 30, 2006 to be eligible for the drawing.
Official prizes and rules for the earned entries are listed below.
Prizes
Three (3) resellers will each win a Symbol MC70 seed kit.
Rules – “Qualifying and Winning”
Entries into the prize drawing will be earned by achieving pre-established revenue targets. In order to obtain an entry into the drawing:
1. A reseller must be invoiced for a minimum of $10,000 in Symbol hardware/software between the dates of September 14, 2006 and September 30, 2006.
2. For every $10,000 of Symbol product invoiced by ScanSource, a reseller will earn one entry into the drawing. For example, a customer invoiced for $37,000 during the promotion period would receive 3 entries. ScanSource and Symbol are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by technical or human error, which may occur in the processing of the entries. Since Winners are drawn at random, there can be no prize guarantee, regardless of the number of entries earned.
3. A reseller is not required to be an authorized Symbol Partner with an executed contract from Symbol in order to earn eligible entries and win the MC70 seed kit. However, a reseller must be an authorized Symbol Partner with an executed contract from Symbol to sell MC70s. This contest is not open to the public.
4. A reseller may only win one prize.
5. Any prize won will be awarded to the principal of the winning company. ScanSource and Symbol decisions are final with regard to this promotion.
6. Any applicable federal, state, or local taxes due as a result of winning a prize are the responsibility of the winner. This contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
7. The odds of winning a prize will be dependent on the number of total entries. A listing of total entries will be available, along with the odds of winning, before the drawing is conducted. A list of prizewinners may be obtained by contacting ScanSource at (800) 944-2439 or writing ScanSource Attn: Symbol Q3 2006 Reseller Kicker, 6 Logue Court, Greenville, SC 29615.
8. The drawing for Winners shall be held at ScanSource, Inc. offices between October 1, 2006 and October 31, 2006. Winners will be notified by email, regular mail or telephone. Prizes will be awarded if claimed properly. Prizes not claimed properly or abandoned for more than sixty (60) days from notification may be deemed forfeit and an alternate winner selected.
9. No cash equivalents of prizes will be awarded.
10. By accepting a prize, winning resellers grant both Symbol and ScanSource the right to use the names and stories related to the winning resellers for marketing and collateral pieces, future promotions, and future programs without any additional compensation, except where prohibited by law
Due to the nature and availability of the prizes, specifications and/or arrangements may change. The winner will receive a similar item and/or similar arrangements to be of equal value of those outlined within this program.
11. ScanSource and Symbol are not in any way liable for damage, loss or injury resulting
from awarding or use of any prize. Winner assumes all liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participation in this promotion.
12. ScanSource and Symbol reserve the right in their sole discretion to cancel or
suspend this promotion should causes beyond their control corrupt the
administration, security or proper play of this incentive sales program contest.
